READY-SET-GO!
... for our new puppy owners!
PREPARING FOR YOUR NEW PUPPY
Time has flown by since our first meeting, the puppies are growing by leaps and bounds... and very soon, these precious little ones will be on their way home! Can you believe it?
We want to help you prepare so the transition into your home goes smoothly and safely. With this goal in mind, we have designed this page as a refresher regarding natural feeding, vaccination choices, natural health products -- as well as a list of puppy supply “essentials” to aid in a comfortable and safe homecoming! This page is merely supplemental and is not designed to replace our personal conversations. If you have questions, please feel free to call and chat - The last weeks are fast-paced and full of preparation here, so I tend to get behind on emails... and texts... and messenger... and instagram! 6. CRATE TRAINING & CRATE OPTIONS
We begin seriously crate-training by 7 weeks as this makes our babies' transitions into their new homes go more smoothly. (If a puppy already has some practice sleeping in its own bed, the first weeks in their new home are far more enjoyable!)
Crate-training not only helps avoid "potty" accidents in the house, it ensures the pup has a "safe haven" while you are too busy to supervise. Crates are perfect when the little one needs a "time-out" or a break from busy household activities.
If your puppy must be shipped via Air Pet Transport (cargo flight) an airline approved shipping crate is mandatory. If you will be meeting us in person and taking your puppy in-cabin for a flight home, an airline approved soft shipping carrier is mandatory. If you are meeting us in person and driving home, an appropriately-sized training crate, would be an asset for your trip home and over weeks to come.
Some families do not want to crate-train and that is, of course, a personal decision. If you do wish to continue crate-training, I know the temptation will be to buy your puppy a large crate -- but smaller crates are ideal until your puppy is reliably crate-trained. You can upgrade to a larger crate as your puppy grows.
Whatever you decide, please be certain your puppy will have a safe, comfortable place it can retreat to when sleepy or overwhelmed!

- If Buyer has an established account, VENMO is an "instant" transfer. If Buyer does not have an account, setting up with VENMO is easy but can take a day or so for them to verify new accounts. *Please note, some accounts are limited in the amount of funds they can transfer each week. Buyers are responsible for checking their accounts ahead of time to be certain they can complete their transactions in a timely manner.
Click for Sellers' VENMO account link; alternately, Sellers' account may be found by searching in VENMO under runamokarcticspitz@gmail.com and/or @Jaque-McHenry. - BANK TO BANK transfers generally take 12 - 48 business hours from date of payment, excluding weekends and holidays. There is usually a bank fee involved for both parties. $20 - $25 is typical for the Sender and our Credit Union charges us a $10 processing fee for incoming payments.

HEALTH EXAMs

These exams are scheduled just before puppies turn 8 weeks of age, usually within a few days of flight or pick-up dates - this ensures our puppies have a clean bill of health immediately before transfer.
