| A brief introduction to Australian Terriers find them to be darling, charismatic, hardworking, watchful, protective, athletic, robust, and extremely loyal to their families. These little "Aussies" or "Aussie Terriers" are a lively, happy bunch - equally joyful and full of life, whether at work or play! More regarding the AUSTRALIAN TERRIER. WELCOME TO RUNAMOK FARM! My husband, three children, and I live on a modest "hobby" farm, tucked away in the scenic, backwoods paradise of Northern Idaho. Depending upon the time of year, we may have goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens and various other farm critters scattered about. Whatever the season, our dogs work, play and live as our constant family companions... RAISING THE BAR AT RUNAMOK FARM Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow. Ralph Waldo Emerson Long known for our outstanding, naturally-reared Miniature Australian Shepherds, RunAmok Farm has, after significant research and consideration, become home to the extraordinary Australian Terrier! With over 24 years experience breeding dogs and raising puppies, we understand the qualities that make a dog genuinely "superior". As such, we are building a very select breeding program of only two, eventually three, Champion-sired Australian Terriers -- effectively representing their breed through superb health, correct structure, natural instincts, and impeccable, imported bloodlines! Exceptional little Aussies; true to their breed standard and possessing sound, family-oriented temperaments... A DIFFERING BREEDING PHILOSOPHY Nearly every breeder aspires to depict their breeding program as the “best”; naturally, we could follow suit, continually boasting of our champion bloodlines and our lovely dogs... but, honestly, how would that distinguish us from the many sites you have already visited? Considering the caliber of our dogs, were we to leave our introduction at this base level, we would, even at this, appear “first-rate” by most breeder standards - and very likely you would be more than pleased with what you saw here -- however, that would not give you the whole picture, or rather, the whole dog! In truth, the scope of our breeding philosophy extends far beyond looks, exhaustive pedigrees, and Champion titles; our program seeks to reach to the very core of natural health and longevity of future generations of the Australian Terrier. We are one of only a select few Naturally-rearing Australian Terrier and Miniature Australian Shepherd breeders in the entire United States & Canada! As proud members of the Natural-Rearing Breeders Association, our “natural-rearing” program ensures our puppies are given the very best start – on all levels! They are fed a natural, species-appropriate diet; they are not exposed to harmful chemicals; furthermore, all of our puppies are raised in our home, with constant interaction with our home-schooling family.
